Rapunzel
By: Noah Eaton
1/5/01

Come out, come out, stare from your balcony
Up high in the glass tower, I have come to set you free
You've long been an odalisque, locked in your cauldron
The only moccasins you've worn are your chains in your prison

You've been tangled in a twisted skein of lies
You've longed to take a sip of this authentic wine
Come out, come out, your fancy is what I curry
Frisk down your hair and I will hold you lovingly

Come out my dear
There's no need to fear
I am your prince charming
I'll give you everything
Rapunzel...

I have seen the phoenix rise in the distance
The fires of passion incinerate in instance
That you summon in every passionate scream
Every night when you lather yourself in the moonbeams

You wear the stars as a necklace
Through your jewel eyes I watch the moon orbit
You wear velvet so well, you strum lyrics from your satin mane
Come, my love, I'll take you to Eden and we'll thirst of loves champagne

Come out my dear
There's no need to fear
I am your prince charming
I'll give you everything
Rapunzel...

Hold me tonight
I'll lay right by your side
I'll make love to you till the morning light
To your heart's delight
Until the stars grow dark and there is no more day
When the air catches fire and the seas dry to dust

When the heavens freeze up and suddenly change
I will love you always, with all my heart's lust
My sweet queen...
My sweet queen...
My sweet queen...
My Rapunzel...

The eye of love is so in your writing.  You have an unbeleivable talent to share.  Each of your words is penned with gentleness of heart.  Thank you.  You deserve so much praise for what you have done.  And not just for the poetry you have posted.  But also for the oh so caring replies you give to the works of others.  You are a tremendous spokesman for love.   Roger
