Emotions and Life’s Losses
By Larry Chadwick

All of us experience emotions in life,
But some we seldom get to know.
And often when we visit there,
We do our best not to let them show.

Love would not be one of those.
For when you have it, all can see.
It’s just one of those things,
We can’t seem to let it be.

Anger is one we know too well,
And wish that it would stay away.
But no, we let it all out,
Much to our dismay.

Joy is something all should share,
Though some don’t seem to know.
If they would simply express it,
Surely it would begin to grow.

But sorrow is quite another thing,
We rarely learn what it’s about.
It causes fear and always pain,
Certainly it will create a lot of doubt.

But bless the one who takes a loss,
And rings from it the truths of life.
For that is when the heart is revealed,
Grief becomes more then a source of strife.

We know a lady such as this,
She writes on these blue pages.
A blessing to us because she shares,
With the best of all our sages.

You have captured Janet Marie perfectly Larry, and I know that she will just love this, and knowing her it will probably bring both a smile and a tear.  Bless you for writing this.  Hugs.

Sometimes we do show just that much through our poetry...you read between the lines very well, Larry, and she will be so very pleased to see this...and then?  She will blush...

Larry....thank you very very much for this...
I appreciate the kindness behind your touching gesture...I am always amazed at the power of words and the gift of healing that poetry allows us. I have gotten so many beautiful emails from people who read in here telling me that they found a voice in reading poems about loss, a voice that they needed but couldnt find with their own words to express it. I never take the gift of writing for granted.
Many, many of us have had loss of a loved one in here and have found a connection in the healing process that comes with the poetry.

Please allow me to share this with them ...

thank you again...for this Poet sir..
you honor and humble me...and make me smile with that above mentioned blush
