How best to show my love
Your desires must be fulfilled
Only you can hone my skills

As my fingers explore
Your sighs guide them
Your desires must be fulfilled

My lips brush upon your skin
The fires burn higher and hotter
Your sighs guide them

Exploring your topography
Peaks of hills and soft of valleys
The fires burn higher and hotter

Merging of mutual desires
Needing to know
Peaks of hills and soft of valleys

This love revels in the
Needing to know
How best to show my love
Only you can hone my skills

The challenge:  Dreamers Dream (Challenge)

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

Ah, you have mastered it so well Interloper, and I thank you for rising to this challenge.  Indeed, it is not an easy one to do!  Hugs to you.

I will have to admit it took no small effort
Thanks for the challenge and the education. I think I will try the "Villanelle" next and "rage, rage against the dying light."

Enjoyed the texture of the words. Can't say I understand the form. It seems like Dreamer's example had 4 line stanzas and yours has two. Care to explain a terzonelle????

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Virginia ~
You mihgt want to look at Dreamer again.  a Terzanelle is made up of 5 3-line stanzas and one 4 line stanza.  Neither meter nor rhyme is required.  the 1st and 3rd lines of the first stanza must make up the 3rd and 4th lines of the 6th stanza. the 2nd line of each stanza must make up the 3rd line of each succeeding stanza except the 5th stanza's 3nd line must make up the 2nd line of the 6th stanza.  Whew!  I hope I got that right.

Marge ~
On a 10 point richter scale you always score a 33 for me

Now go open the door, and let some cool air flow over my mind and body. This is fantastic, a flowing form I've only seen once before, but hope to see again. And your poetry is so sensuallly delightful! BRAVO!

When I read poetry like this, I am inspired to try them too.  I have written a Terzanelle because I read them here.  Yours inspires me to try again and write another.
