Do you ever see
The long marmalade fingers
reach across the edge of the earth

lilt with pink abandon
the sun upon its pedestal

deliberate
yet majestic

as it paints
across your lover's face
fluttering sleepy eyes
awake towards your gaze

always seeming
to be the first time

Each sunrise is new dear somy~.  It is good to see you again dear lady!!  Much love and peace to you this year.

'long marmalade fingers', reminds me of one of my favorite lines ever 'gash gold vermillion' - Gerard Manley Hopkins. beautiful thanks for the morning nudge.

A very well-described dawn! And

'always seeming
to be the first time'

also seems to be a dawn in itself, as each sunrise brings forth a new day. The first of each day.

I like the idea of looking for something fresh every morning, like how you broke up the meter but would tailor it here and there to get a better flow...this is just a thought
as for eample the third to last stanza and the last might be adjusted so that the meters
are closer.Very well done!

(sigh) Soooooooooo beautiful, sweet Regina, your words always paint such heavenly visions! (sigh) You are soooooooo romantic, sweet friend, this had me dreaming ever so much of staring into my lovers eyes as the rosewood sunrise skies lathered upon us all. May love and light always shine upon you!
