Are turquoise eyes in the night an illusion?
dancing to the songs of a nightingale
draped in willowy shadows of seclusion

Lavender fog becomes a twilight sail
like a wave beckoning to the pharos
sandy fingers touching shoals like Braille

Once a Queen in the arms of a pharaoh
as the Nile drifts within melodic rhyme
Egyptian winds stunningly dance their balero

She remembers once upon a time
within the beaded fringes of the moon
the adoration of his love sublime

Turquoise eyes within a Persian cocoon
she dances alone to a nightingales tune

"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."

You captured me with the title as turquoise is my favorite color but the beauty of this poem is what held my attention. Stunning. I love it. **big hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

I love the imagery you use in your poetry.  The words are so in tune with my own thoughts .....God, I can't seem to put a thought together today.  I hate this feeling.

thanks for this.

My perception of truth will somehow never quite be the same..and so I write.
