Ahh, I got the Black Screen Blues
and I thought I had paid my dues
My puter isn’t but two years old
way to young to ever fold

I wrote a poem that was my best yet
only a few lines left, for it to set
I looked with pride at what I wrote
then I saw a  Black Screen Revolt

I don’t attempt to save each line
not and keep my sanity of mind
This calamity is like a jungle cat
making me feel like a cornered rat

I type a line and hunch my back
expecting to see a screen of black
Then I see, black on white
spelling the words that I did type

With lightning speed, I rush to finish
then the Black that I see with grimace
Word Recovery saved the day
to let me finish this simple say

If the next two stanzas you don’t see
you'll know Black Screen finished me

LOL, we are all in a mood tonight, I think..My computer wants to just skip letters and spell oddly, and take 5 minutes to show me a poem. But no black screen yet

Logan, I always call that the Black Screen of Death...lol...
AND when it says to wait 3 seconds....?
Tonight it is more like 3 minutes!
Good write Logan...now I don't feel as bad.

This is cute...and I hate to even think I
will face the day that happens to me....

Maybe that is why I have three comps...
three monitors...But my son would not
understand as I hustle his out of his room
and into mine...

Ahh, hmm, thank you, Sis, for your compassion at my plight..very gentle smile

Ahh, Sandra, then your computer must be a relative of mine. I scanned something one day, and it left half of the words out. The worst part was that it is only one or two per sentence..Thank you for your concerns, sigh...very gentle smile

Ahh, Noah, the recovery only gave me PART of my words..I had to wing the rest. Thank you for being here..gentle smile

Nancy, sweet one, mine doesn't even give me three seconds, it just stares back at me like a black hole..Thank you for the comments though...very gentle smile

Hmmm, Magnus, they say things come in threes, so.....good luck...gentle smile

OH THANKS, JM, just what I needed to hear. I KNOW about your puter...very gentle smile

Eagle, you better watch it, they are tricky fellows, they sneak up on you. Thanks for being here, I will send mine to you for a good lesson then..gentle smile

Logan - you've captured it all in this writing about the black screen. I think it must be the gremlins. It's funny how they go from mine to others all over the place!

Oh gosh......I had that problem too and finally had to get a new comp....It's almost a year old now.....so I better be careful. **big hugs** and an extra kiss to make it a little better.

Bill you keep those gremlins away from my computer.....mmmmm unless you bring them personally

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Logan~

My fella's got the 'black screen blues'
Oh my goodness ... does that just ooze~
I thought perhaps he needed to retire ...
but I stroked the coals to new-embered fire~

For a 'keeper'
that's my job to do ...
Just don't sing
those 'black screen blues' ...

Well, sometimes a *LittleGoose* lays a great BIG egg~
... or :wonk:
Now that won't do
maybe I'VE got the 'black screen blues' ?

Love you~
*Hugs* n' *grins*
