To All the Poets of Passions, Thank You

by Michael

I need some Sunshine by the SEA.
This cold gray day so bothers me.
serenity would be quite nice.
Right now they are forecasting ice.

A SmartChick picked an Irish Rose,
but where she found it, no one knows.
A walker on the beach this day,
with Greeneyes, but little to say.

Rosepetals left upon the dune,
setting sun, Catalinamoon.
It slowly rose into the sky.
It’s Startime, I let out a sigh.

A Poetdevine walked up and  asked,
“Do you have whiskey in a flask?
You know it is against the rule!”
No drink tonight?  How very cruel.

I sat on drift rwood in sand,
just watched as surf tried take the land.
Mistletoe Angel scent on air,
a Gentle Spirit hovered there.

Mysteria, I found the night,
as stars put out their lovely light.
I got up, saw a campfire glow.
Who might be there, I didn’t know.

I thought that I’d investigate.
I had no watch, but must be late
and there they were, the poets of pips.
I listened as poems passed their lips.

Bill Charles, dgvarner, Lily B,
so crowded, it was hard to see.
doreen peri, and Marge Tindal.
The campfire made by the seawall.

Seymour Tabin, Professor Gloom,
so crowed, barely standing room.
Corinne, Liz Santos, craig were there,
were shaking sand out of their hair.

But Auguste was nowhere in sight.
He pens his poems be candlelight.
Quite near the fire our Martie sat,
tending burgers, smashing them flat.

Balladeer, Michael, Nan, Denise,
were chaperones to keep the peace.
Interloper, Janet Marie,
so loved this party at the sea.

Enchantress, temptress and I, too,
asked moderators what to do.
They said to fill our hearts with song.
This party would last all night long.

JamesMichael, Sven talked awhile.
So nice to see each of them smile.
All made a pact we’d each meet here,
by campfire glow each coming year.

(I’m sorry I couldn’t fit everyone in, but this was getting VERY long)

This was wonderful Michael!  I love to see the creativity flow when someone pulls so many special names together into one poem. You composed this beautifully ... lovely flow, something so very hard to do when tackling a huge task like this. Much enjoyed!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Auguste, you have truely captured the essence of this place.

When ever I find myself alone, I too think of a place where poets roam and so many of the artist here, touched my life and left a cheek streaked with tears.

You are definately a tallented poet and have shown recognition to those who have touched us all in one way or another.

Hugs Fee
