In solitude she pours her heart out
as tears roll down her face
trying to wash away memories
that can never be erased.

In contemplation of her life
trying to make it make sense
feeling so bottled up inside
life within that little white fence.

Searching for the answers
that never seem to come
wondering if she'll find them
while she is yet still young.

Wondering what life would be
outside that little picket gate
would there be any love,
or would she just find hate?

She sits and continues dreaming
of things that will never be
the sun has slowly faded
through darkness she can not see.

If she could only open the gate
and take a step into the light
but she can't get past the fence
the picket one painted white.

This house has become her cage
but only she can set herself free
to emerge from this self made cocoon
the butterfly she needs to be.

Someday she'll walk through the gate
finding light to brighten the day
her hopes and dreams will come true
and her soul will soar as she flies away.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
~Me~

Very beautiful Donna..i remember the first post also..
yes, that little word fear keeps some of us from our dreams
just because we are afraid of being alone ...hugs

Victoria, sometimes loneliness can be so hard.  One must wonder though is it better to be alone when your already "with" someone, or is it just better to be alone...alone? Ah...but when we can fly, then we are never alone!!   Thanks hon.  Much peace to you.  *s*

(sigh) Soooooooo sad but beautiful, sweet friend, someday she will emerge from her camouflaged cocoon of tears and she will fly happily and free and embrace the joys of the world with her dreams and find true happiness! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, my heart is always with all these young people who dream to find their dreams come true! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
