Somehow there are purposes in the walk
and reasons why locomation is big talk;
the "did you see so and so go down the street?"
she would step pretty fast and not miss a beat.

Being a quick walker myself
that's done quickly for health;
there is time for a stroll in the park,
a jig and a shuffle after dark.

There is purpose in long strides
tight dressed ladies can't share and divide,
then come smaller steps for the weak
and baby steps when young feet creep.

There is a world of motion on two legs,
and armed with these limbs we'll moan and beg,
a myriad of strides, strolls and wanderings
all on this earth as His underlings.

I agree with Kay, Martin.....yes, I can hear Fats Domino singing your poem.
Great job!
