He created fine faces to adorn
then gave dimples to add scorn,
what about the face with no scars
what about the window without looking far.

He gave us lines of character above our brow
and the cleft palates, I wonder how;
how a face of beauty would have been
had we not had those dimples on our chin.

There would be noses long as hoses
and their naries large enough for fairies
to enter our nasal passages during the night
and tickle up a good sneeze without a fight.

What about stage star lips, carnal and red
and those upturned corners, curved and fed,
moles on the cheeks, marks of our birth
and creases about the eyes, a sign of our mirth.

Famous features come and go
their harmony, set in constant glow;
contributed by facial lines, recesses and dimples,
oops, forgot the healthy supply of unworldly pimples!

Cute....cute......cute, Martin.
A good thing about writing a poem about faces is that almost everyone has at least one face, and some of us have more than one face.

Hi Madame Chipmunk,

I wrote a poem introducing myself at BrokenSword and it is with you in mind, there I have presented myself as chivalrous hehe! Glad you fished this up!

Martin - I am sure glad I don't get too many of those pimples anymore.  I enjoyed this amusing write, but I must ask, were you making faces in the mirror when you got the inspiration to write this?lol
