“HOCUS-POCUS”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Sometimes one doesn’t know,
the truths said from another…
For they tell what’s not real,
something else, from the other…
Some do listen, and some believe,
things that are, which are said…
But the other speaks deceit,
even together, in bed…
What are these words expressed,
between two supposing to trust…
When the other isn’t what they seem,
but is only an indifferent antagonist…
Perhaps what I’m trying to say,
deception and thievery, your game…
Think about it for a while and more,
for Hocus-Pocus is your name…
(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Bill, this is such a heartbreaking thought, my heart cries out to all these poor lovers out there who fall into these follish games and are seperated by tears and mistrust. (sigh) I wish them all the greatest hope and true love to come to their hearts! (big hugggssssss) We all love you so much, sweet friend, God Bless You! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
Love,
Bill,
And I wouldn't call it magic, just hocus pocus! So true...
Bill you write poetry like no other. Truly this is outstanding.
And so wonderfully described. Sometimes the quickness of the hand deceives the eye, and we've all I think been taken in by those tricks
What more can i say except this is wonderful
evening...????...
I liked this a lot...speaks volumes...IF only
some would read it and take a lesson from
the words you so well poetically penned..
Oh my gosh.......you and Barry are speaking words that make me what to just hug you both so tight.....This is so powerful and so very true. If only the love that is innocently wanted was given in honesty then the innocent would not suffer so much.....BRAVO!!! Bill this is a masterpiece. **big hugs**
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Or do we believe in what we want to see.
You wrote some hard truths.  It is as though
we can't afford to care too much.
At the same time it is a treasure to trust and a sense of  freedom to believe in just that.
I am not one to form my opinions or be influenced by hearsay that does not include me.
After all,  we make our own beds!!
I liked your poem very much.
funny thing Bill, I seem to know  just what you mean...only different time and place.
BC
I think BluesSerenade told it like it should be.  We all make our own beds and have to live with the results and the decisions that we have made.  Maybe magic, maybe not.
I appreciate the message in this deeply. I feel this type of trickery is poison in worst form. You brought that out well without shedding too much attention on it's ugly face. Very great verse.
Sincerely,
Regina
