We made love beneath the silk veil of the moon
misty shadows waltzing beside a blue lagoon
we made love that ended much too soon
impatient sands of time could not pretend
upon parchment lips our love was penned
we made love within the silhouettes of night
to soft whispers of jasmine moonlight
we made love upon satin wings of no return
until ravished skin became moonlight burned
we made love as our kisses interlaced
now my thoughts nest in an imaginary place
we made love to the calligraphy of hearts race
bathing within the waves, no footprints to trace
we made love, lost within the moon's embrace

"To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."

Victoria - I need to find the moon you are talking about , because the one by me isn't as good as the one you describe in this romantic write.  Nicely done.

Making love almost always ends way too soon doesn't it. Very soft and sensuous poem Victoria.

Quite powerful ...
the moon shares a great power with you.
I could feel wave after wave of moonlight
crashing from an endless ocean upon me..
breathtaking!!
Well done!!

Victoria, so soft and just so pretty and delightful.  You have a way with words that makes mere words a pleasure to read.  Wonderful hon!
