Dedicated to my son George who went to our Lord Dec. 5th, 2000

A Thin Wall

I only had to look at him to smile
He wore his feelings on his sleeve
Some things he couldn't hide
To laugh, to smile, to have some fun
He always was the one
To bring some humor to mylife
My heart he always won
And when he wasn't feeling well
I wanted to be there
To let him know I loved him
To let him know I cared
And if perhaps I was the one
Not feeling well one day
I'd never have to tell him
My fears he would allay
Today still, he is calming me
And I am calming him
The wall that comes between us
Is so very thin
I feel his presence every where
And talk with him each day
So never will I feel alone
If only he could stay
We'll meet again one day.
We'll meet again one day.

This poem cries out to me, Floria.
and your pain reaches out from deep between the lines.
Your son must have been a darling person, and I know he still watches caringly over you.
Lots of hugs!

Thank you Madame chipmunk, I am blessed with three other grown children. George was my best friend. He was everything a human should be,Kind, loving, generous no matter what color or who you were. I miss him so much. No warning, just a fast blood clot to the heart while he and I were having coffee alone in my kitchen. I was in a trauma for four months..after that is when my writing started. floria

Floria,my heart goes out to you.I can`t imagine losing a child.I have one son who uses the name Sodpossom on here,(Stevie)I know how much it hurt when my brother died unexpectantly. But it was nothing to what mama and daddy was feeling. You have my love and sympathy.

What a wonderful poem, brought from such sadness within your heart. Through your words, I feel the pain of this loss, and can only offer a cyber hug. But how fortunate you were to have had such a wonderful relationship, so caring and tender. And now, cherishing those memories keeps him close to your heart.
