Hallelu---2002

January, 2002
oh, yes,
a brand new year;
the sun is shining,
gloriously,
filling me with cheer!

the snow-gray sky’s retreating
the blue is peeking through
as Sol burns a hole in
the old year
that harbored me and you

all friends
both far and wide
rejoice the day’s commence
a virgin page
a clean new slate
to write our life events

sweet children
lift your smiles
sing songs of a new day
the sun and earth,
in tandem,
will give you time to play

raise high your lovely chorus;
give laughter its regard
if God above is for us
tis wondrous our reward!
