Last night
I made a poem on my mind
words kept coming up
fighting for space
But I was too tired then
to get up and take my pen
What a torture I spend all night
trying to memorize it all
so that the words would not be gone
Now in the morning
when the sun rose
I could not remember none
And my friends
I learn a lesson
words are like problems
in the night they keep you up
but in the morning some might
be gone

I often think the best poems I write are the ones forgotten by morning.  Enjoyed, walker.

Not only have I experienced this as well, but this is such a superb analogy Walker!  Very much enjoyed!

Best wishes,

Ah! It happens so often! I can't get to sleep until I write them down. Or I will forget them by morning. Good. I like it!

You are absolutely right Walker. If I don't write them down straight away, I never remember them. I has caused some late nights I'll tell you!! Lol

This happens to me 24/7....I have to write
them down as they come to me....or they die
then and there....Like this poem...so true.
