I forgot something this morning.
Silly of me to even consider that.
How many days have I forgotten?
Or a moment of  anger, did  not to say...

I thought of it on the way to work
It just seemed to overpower, haunt me.
How could I have ever been so selfish?
How simply rude, totally crass of me.

I forgot to tell you my dear... I love you.
I didn’t say to you.. that I deeply care.
I forgot to say...this man so misses you.
Even though.... you’re already there.

I missed that little peck on the cheek.
I didn’t caress  the top of your hair.
Oh Geee, you make my knees weak
Someone please go  find me a chair.

I love the way you always  smile at me.
I love those eyes that sensually say I will.
I cherish each thought of  you, you  see.
Until my soul and heart are finally still.

God gave you to me as a heavenly gift
The finest gem a man can hold or touch.
For sands of love my hands do finely sift...
Yes, oh yes... Dearest, I  love you so much.

Please my dear, forgive this mere  man
who lives to touch  the ground you walk.
A breath eternal to love you all that I can.
My pledge to you, this  I shall not balk.

For within my heart I hold you now
to  keep you ever secure and warm.
For life and love I will ever vow
to protect, hold and keep  from harm.

Sandra,

Some days I do really well at it...and when
I don't I feel bad about it...and usually
I will pick up the phone and call her..

yes if we would treat someone like it was the last time
we were going to them..how beautiful life would be..
this brought tears to my eyes...but i always cry on new years anyway
for some reason..

Read to her this poem. No heart could turn  away from such sincere words of love.
She's a blessed woman to have you.

Magnus...this gem is worth all the jewels in the world...your woman is lucky to have a man that can see he has forgotten the most precious thing in his life...and then to tell her so...this is so touching...helen

Oh I reallyyy like those stanzas!  This is so sweet.. I'm sure whoever the lucky lady this was for will have no problem forgiving you in full.  This one is going in my libraryy.
