December’s Song

A symphony of winter’s lace,
Lilting day and evening long,
Wrapped in a blanket of icy warmth,
I sway to December’s song.

Held captive like a maiden new,
Frozen notes that bind my feet.
Yet mind and soul dance in frigid dew,
In time to December’s beat.

Skeletal branches etched in glass,
Reaching to me, my partner bows,
In winds that echo a lovers pain,
I spin as December howls.

Over lakes once pristine in summer sun,
Through meadows remnants, cold and bleak,
Down lanes with carpet of snowflakes spun,
To deathbed shores of twisted creek.

There I stop, chilled feet still,
Though still I stay not very long,
As a fresh cascading tymphany,
Takes me away in December’s song.

let the song sing Sandra. . .

this flows very well, although not as cold, as the winds here today. . .

excellent. . .
