“SLEEPY MORNING”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
My eyes open and I look
at her lovely face, serene,
peaceful, in the soft
light of mornings glow…
I smell the fragrance of
perfumed hair, delicate
with the aroma of her,
and I am drawn closer,
as she still sleeps…
My fingers touch her
face, and when she
awakes, a smile greets
me, as the warmth of
her touch beckons me…
I hold her closer in my
arms, and we speak
things of yesterday,
today, and what might be.
Her caring thoughts, and
dreams she whispers to
me, and I share another
beautiful sleepy morning,
with her…
Dennis - I read your reply, and can only say this. And you have probably heard it already. It's called 'working on it', everyday. It's also called complacency, which happens when one doesn't work on it everyday... And if not, then it disintegrates...
(sigh) You are soooooooo romantic, sweet Bill, I too have always dreamed of what it must feel like to wake right beside true love in the morning and the happiness that shines in loves smile! (big hugggssssss) You are a true romantic, sweet friend, may the beauty of love forever shine in your heart every day and every night! We all love you so much, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bill, thank you for sharing!
May love and light always shine upon you!
BC:
Your reply to Dennis is definitely correct, but complacency is a two-sided coin and both partners must work on it, not just one or you will get total destruction.
Bill,  this is simply a very soft and
treasurable write...
Working on it...YEP...this is the term I use
as well...Always trying to be working on it.
Never thinking that it is just good enough.
Well done Sir....
Bill, this is a lovely piece you have done.
It does take two and for over 31 years I have been blessed to wake up to a man that makes me feel this special.
*sigh* keeping love and romance alive does take work. Too often we think that is just suppose to happen..*sigh* this beautiful poem gave me a vision of two people waking up and deciding they will love each other that day and showing first thing in the morning. *sigh* what a pleasure it would be to be with someone who understood that love takes work but is worth it. MAGNIFICENT, Bill. I love it. **hugs** HAPPY NEW YEAR
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
