A State of Disarray

0 posted 2001-12-31 12:03 PM

There was
An elegant dance
From long ago
Of lover's
Quiet
And gentle...
Touch
Our blended romance.

In moments of doubt
I reach beyond
And see my empty hand
Oh, love, see me
Touch me
Hold my aching soul
In ways
That only you can.

There are whispers
That hold you
In sacred moments
Of memory
So vivid
Real
But vanish
Into color winds.

I closed my eyes
Beneath a tree
And in that wind
The leaves clapped
The sound
Of butterfly wings...
Oh, I felt
The essence of you.

May I touch you
Just one more time
And heal the ache
Longing
For time
And touch
Gone
Yet, once again.

...For Warren

amusemi - I must say, this is really good.  From start to finish, I truly enjoyed this one.

JM-Thankyou for the compliment and yes he is an inspiration-totally twitterpatted at times I am.

Dave-I hesitated to post this, I don't do LOVE poems very well.  Thanks for the praise.

BC-From a man who can paint the human condition so well your comments are indeed humbling.  Merci.

Hey amusemi for a love poem it's pretty neat, I don't do much writing in the love department either but when I do..take a look at the Bliss of a Kiss, it becomes anecdotal.
Happy 2002
