A Sonnet With No Name

A thousand times a thousand eyes, my beauty have beheld
Into their hearts my song’s exquisite lyrics softly meld
I am a sonnet with no name, a number was bestowed
And christened by the noted hand that penned me long ago

I’m printed in thick volumes upon glaze of paper page
Such a lowly dwelling for the wonders of a sage
And yet aesthetic fingers still my weathered leaf unfold
And gaze into my passion with a look of lust for gold

Enchanted are the hearts who read and feast on every line
Enticed to taste again the vintage flavor of my wine
I am the inspiration for the ink of feathered quill
The essence of my muse into their aura I instill

Yet I am well beyond the reach of finger’s lengthy touch
For none have come to equal me, the sonnet loved so much
And now I feel my page unveiled, another one has come
To read me to a lover in the red of setting sun

Liz - for a sonnet with no name this is most beautiful... I can't say enough about this writing...

You are the soul of the sonnet. I admire your immense talent at writing them. A sonnet with no name...I would title, "BEAUTIFUL."   ***Ivy Rose
