Awakening

Purple sky with painted streaks of rose on dawning’s brim
Enhance a sycamore’s silhouette crocheted of branch and limb
With knuckles bent and fingers reaching skyward and afar
One fine tipped branch, with finger posed, points out the morning star

In naked stance the tree, unveiled, stripped of its summer dress
At last reveals the wonder of its secret hidden nests
In branches high above the ground, in folds of praying hand
Where architects with bushytails survey their bordered land

It’s never known where creatures hide until December snows
Engrave their every footprint and uncover secret troves
I awakened to a web of branches on a purple sky
With summer home of furry friends revealed to a sleepy eye

Isn't it amazing how much more something like this comes to life when it is soooooo cold outside? Lovely image Liz.

There is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar.

*sigh* I love so much that the snow and winter have to offer but the cold just makes me shiver. I look forward to the spring when all nature wakes from the slumber of winter. **big hugs** I love this poem.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
