I'm the king of triviality..
Small, useless facts just cling to me
They saturate my brain, you see
I'm the king of triviality.

Cher's last name is Sarkissian. Walt Disney was scared of mice.
Marilyn Monroe had six toes on her feet. Now ain't that nice?
DaVinci invented the scissors...and it gets better yet.
There are only twelve letters in the Hawaiian alphabet!

I'm the king of triviality.
Sometimes my name won't come to me
But ask me garbage and you'll see
I'm the king of triviality.

The longest word in the English language refers to DNA
Has 1, 913 letters and is pretty hard to say!
Karoke means "empty orchestra" in Japanese.
Paper can't fold more than 7 times...try it, if you please!

It's true the snail will only mate just once in its whole life
(Which still makes it promiscuous compared to my ex-wife!)
The names of all the continents begin and end with the same letter.
In English only "dreamt" ends in "mt". Wait! It gets better!!

If you keep a goldfish in the dark, it will eventually turn white.
A can of Spam is opened every 4 seconds. You heard that right!
The most collect calls of the year are made on Father's Day
(they want to talk to their old man but they want him to pay!)

I'm the king of triviality.
Collector of strange facts, you see.
A headlock on senility
I'm the king of triviality.

The first CD was Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA"
Only four words in English end in "-dous". That's what they say.
The word "checkmate" comes from "Shah mat"which means the king is dead
The king of hearts is the only one without a moustache on its head.

The largest number of children born to one gal is 69
(and I will swear with dying breath that none of them were mine!)
New Zealand was the first place that allowed females to vote
The first typewritten book was "Tom Sawyer" that Mark Twain wrote.

The oak trees don't grow acorns til they're at least 50 years old
Last dodo died in 1681, or so I'm told.
In 3500 years, only 230 were lived in peace
And here we are, still praying for hostility to cease.

I'm the king of triviality
My brain has turned to atrophy
But I'm as happy as can be
I'm the king of triviality!!

I'm waiting for it to get better,
since I knew all that already.

But I gotta hand it to ya,
that was pretty good for starters.

encore encore!
Lets hear it for the 'deer'
isn't that what they call you?

No, I'm not a wannabe,
I'm just yanking your chain,
and I've got 5 days off.

woohoo!

Deer,
Can I be your partner in trivial pursuit? I don't mind it that trivia sticks ...what I mind is that it leaks out at the most inconvenient times like...
I had to take notice of this one because you know what they say about small (trivial) things

Michael:
Regardless of what the others say and how they want to pull your chain, the writing was superb.  You have quite a sense of humor and we all love it.  Keep it up!

Ah, you always make me smile Michael. What an entertaining piece! (and you probably know me well enough to know that I did try to fold a piece of paper 8 times, lol ... nope - 7 it is!) Much enjoyed every line of this informative and rhythmic creation! A true rival for Cheer's Cliff Claven for sure, LOL!

Best wishes and hugs,

'Deer dear heart How absolutely first rate is this, if this were a film I’d present it with an Oscar. If this were a record it would win record of the year. What is the equivalent of poem of the year? Well, whatever it is this deserves it.

Trivia, and I thought I knew a lot of old tosh, but yes indeed you are the king. I love it when you play the whole forum takes on a carnival air. Wonderful dear 'Deer absolutely wonderful

Absolutely Fabulous
