This year again, I must lose weight
add an "E" and fat is fate
take it back and fate is fat

the ten pounds that I've lost and gained
with loose clothes, being normal feigned
but sometimes weight is gained, then lost
depending how the food is tossed

I'll exercise, I'll walk it down
so I can wear that slinky gown
to fit into my four petits
I'll figure out how not to eat

I promise me I'll exercise
so I can wear that little size

the weighty matters on my hips
migrated there from tongue and lips
the pillow wrapped around my tummy
comes from tempting goodies, yummy

so I will lose it all, I swear
my four petits will fit this year

My only problem is the more I exercise, the hungrier I get - losing battle.  The more weight I lose - doesn't come off in the right places and I look lopsided.  Oh well, what we women do to look nice for our men.  Your words made me giggle and made my day.

Thanks so much, Sue.....I always judge it by how much my collarbones stick out.
When they start fading behind the flesh, I don't even need a scale to know its time to start losing. and I need to start exercising more.

Thanks Ariana,  I have similar problems with that.....I can never get the fat off my middle but I keep losing it in my thighs...and I have very muscular calves, like a man's......oh well!
Nobody's perfect....we just have to do the best with what we have.
Its just that sometimes we have too much!

Lyra - Have you been neglecting your poor treadmill?  Well, it can be neglected a little longer, for we all must enjoy bringing in the new year first.  Have a happy and healthy one.

Thanks Dave,  No....I'm not neglecting the treadmill, especially now that we have 3 feet of snow on the ground and its pretty hard to go anywhere anyway.
We're going to stay home and have a special dinner by the fireplace on New Years Eve.
David is going to cook it for us......
If we can dig our way out of here to get to the supermarket, we might get some peel and eat shrimp and some stone crabs instead.
Hope you have a safe and happy one!
