Moisturizing Memories~

~*Marge Tindal*~

One tiny teardrop
looking for a place to fall
Seeking a cheek to caress
in total recall~

And should it trickle past a smile
you left for me to reclaim
You are a memory I won't soon forget
Knowing that though you are gone,
always you will remain~

One droplet of sweet remember,
moisturizing your memory
Bringing you back to dwell within
the very heart of me~

Tears and smiles are all I have
in this soul of kindred keeping
All you were and all I am
are shed within this weeping~

And though I shed each of you
in a different sweep of time's command
Cumulatively I remember
when you each held my hand~

Someday the smiles will outnumber the tears
but, until they do
God knows that I was blessed
to be touched by each of you~

~*~

Grandma Wainright~How many times you come to play in my heart~
Daddy~Here too short ... gone too long~
Granddaddy~ Your memory is as tall as the cast of your shadow~
Brother Mike~Oh, Mike ... most of all, most of all~
Michelle Lynette Barr~ Angel child of my heart .. a blessing you were to me~
Little Granny~Tightly held with squeezing heart-hugs~
Hilda Isaly~ Nanny ... you left so many smiles~
Mother~Fragrance of rose or a butterfly in flutter .. brings you back to me~
Aunt Mimi~ Oh, my ... how precious the smiles of remember~
Joseph R. Pearce~More than teacher .. you gave me reason to believe in myself~
Sister Shari~Too short the wick ... but, oh how you glowed~

~*~

Flipping through this Rolodex of December-In-Remember
I thank God for the beauty of each etching on my heart.
Believing that, far beyond time they share in my joy,
gives me reason to be thankful for the gift of remember~

*December 2001*

This is wonderful, MArge. As the new year approaches, it is fitting to pay homage to the memories of those who made such impacts on our lives and then left much too soon....you have done a spendid job here

It is hard to type through the tears as I remember my loved ones that have passed away.  I always know if I a poem conveys the feeling I was trying to show if it brings a tear to the readers eye.  You got this one right as you do all you post.

Marge--So many, the tender tears of memory for the loved ones that always remain in the heart.  I know they would rejoice with you in your happiness.  Hugs!

Marge..this touches me lots....I have my own
list of those who I have shed many tears for.
And it grows by the year....I hope that I am
on a list someday...remembered for good
things that I have shared...

I have no doubt that you will be...none
whatsoever....

Marge-
Well, I've been here and read this several
times now, and each time, I put off replying.
I just haven't been able to find the words
to express how this touches me...and then...
   I remembered...you know.
Great big hugs to you, sweetest friend.
   Love you bunches,
   ~Vicky
