It's taken me some time to write about this. I am just now able to do it.

Cries To The Skies

The horror passed but the memory of it all still weighs many down
Every life has been changed beyond any damage a storm could do
For many, the days ahead can never be cherished like once before
And, still some can't find solid ground to find their way through...

Sometimes words just aren't enough when there's a world you can't fix
Sometimes the rain is so heavy it's impossible to see the sun shine
I know the average ones can't always hear the sounds of sadness
But, I hope it helps to know that God heard those cries to the skies...

When he extended his arms to reach the few that he could
It was those who made it safely to dry land
For those who never made it to see the next new dawn
You must not fear that he ever stopped holding out his hand...

I think God chose the ones to give them a much brighter view
To show them there's faith beyond any hatred act one can give
And, for the one's that must remain without the one's God decided to take
Maybe your comfort can be knowing he dies a little too watching you struggle to live...

He does not want to see you fall so hard down on your knees
But, he wants us to understand that faith isn't what's seen with the eyes
Because all in a moment hope and chance screamed from the heart
And, his tears fell just the same as he gathered the million cries to the skies...

There's a lot to take in when you watch the world crumble and fall
And, very difficult to watch the lines of fear run down another's face
For those of you who witnessed grief in it's most heartbreaking shade
Know I stand with the guilt, that if I could have, I'd taken your place...

There were begging and pleading and praying beyond any control
Some things answered and some still asked over and over again
We can't go back but may it help to know you were all heard that day
And, just knowing your cries to the skies and your voices were familiar to him...

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Saunni, I know just how you feel, I wish I could take their places too in the disaster so I would have the ability to share my love with all and offer them hope and comfort with all their golden hearts! (sigh) I pray we all reach up to Him together and cry for solace and trust in His love that He gives to us all! So sad but well-written, sweet friend, you are a true angel to us all and we all love you so much! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
