Your words say our love is over
and can not ever again be.
That there has not been another
and you want to be set free.

You tell me not to write or say
three words you cannot stand.
That if I did I would again lie
which is not a card in my hand.

You say you feel so unsure
if love can ever again be found.
That this love would not endure
and you don’t want me around.

Ever tell a lie to you I won’t.
I can not reassure  you more.
And I only pray that you don’t
slam shut and lock your door.

My gut churns with emptiness
for I don’t feel I can eat.
The loneliness from this mess
is felt from my head to my feet.

I want you to know that I can
never love another as I have you.
And that I am a loving man
whose feelings of you are true.

Man! It seems sad love letters are the most popular to write. I hope sir that you never have to write one like this. Into my library it goes! Challenge well met!

PoetD....I had this happen once in my life..
It is something you never forget...Easy to
write those feelings...Happily,  I have not
had that happen with my wife...

Thank you for the challenge...

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Barry, this is so heartbreaking but sooooo beautiful, I am happy that this letter isn't related to your own feelings! (sigh) With a loving heart like yours, you are destined to hold true love forever! (smiles) So sad but beautiful, sweet friend, what a perfect sentimental love letter to top the challenge, I need to try it too! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Barry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Mr. "M":  Been there, done that and know the feeling in every word that you have written. (And that happened this past year).  Keep writing - your words depict emotion, love, hurt and much more.  I enjoy reading your work.

Dear John,
I'm sorry
I have hurt you
I now see it
so clear
is it too late
to  still love me
Do you?
Do you dear?

Magnus, I juz hope there is a way for you to rid her of the insecurity she is feeling. And then, I hope it isn't too late. So, I wish you love in the new year.

Probably everyone has had a broken heart and has broken someones heart too..i guess we just cant help our mysterious feelings..I would rather be told the truth than to have someone lie to me and say he loved me when he really didnt...enjoyed Magnus..

Karen,  I had that happen as a Teen...I
was devastated...ended up wrecking my mother's
car...Was not a happy camper over that..

I won't ever forget that moment,  though
I am glad I found another lady,  that has
been very good to me for a long time now..

Victoria...thank you ...and I deeply agree..
I would rather someone never say that they
love me than to say it and it not be true..
That feeling goes both ways...
