There is a Man

Somewhere within a garden’s space
There is a man, a heart, a face
Who has not yet become aware
That there’s a rose awaiting there

Upon the windy ocean strand
Someone is strolling in the sand
Collecting shells washed from the sea
But overlooks the shell of me

His eyes gaze upward in the night
To heaven’s garden of delight
From earth’s small spinning dome afar
He’d never notice one small star

Perhaps he’s halfway round the world
A love to never be unfurled
If we should meet by gardens gate
T’would be not luck, but lovers’ fate

I walk along a city street
Where someday I perhaps will meet
The heart, the face I’m longing for
He’s in a space by garden’s door

Oh yes - when you meet him you will know that he is the one.  Very well done.  This is a keeper.

Dear Elizabeth - Whoever you choose will be blessed a thousand fold.  You are an incredible person.  The man whose love you share had better shine brightly, or be content to bask, because you are not a small star!  You are one of the most wonderful people I have ever met.

A great, descriptive poem. First one I read since I am back online. Touching and lovely....

I can't control
my destiny
I trust my soul,
my only goal
is just to "be"

This is magical! If you find him, please tell him that he holds a very special person in his heart and he better treat her right or we'll get after him.
