Salute to Balladeer! (10,000 Posts) By Larry Chadwick Kicking kitties ain’t his bag, Pirating is way too cad. Pringling is more his style, So I’ll just call him dad. Here since June 5, 1999, Showed up with a smile. Debuted “One Trick Pony”, Coming in with style. Averaging 10.66 posts a day, He has slowly learned to type. But an original every other day, Makes him more than just hype. But how did the Big Roach, Come to be the Balladeer? It’s a question that is asked, Just about every other year. I will stand and give a cheer To the charming Balladeer Who writes with style and with grace And puts a smile upon our face 10,000 - wow that is a lot! As back he comes to stir the pot To take a dip in passions brew And flirt a bit is what he'll do But Oh! When he writes a part He can play the strings of every heart He makes the women sigh and try He makes the menfolk die and cry So here's to you brave Balladeer 10,000 posts, let's make it clear There is no other here like you Except perhaps for one or two. Larry shaking my head sadly - We've got 'Deer convinced he's a scalawag, and then you mess it all up with this poem!!! Do you know how long my 'Deer hunting season campaign has been going on? Well, now it's all been trashed by this one good poem. hmmmppphhh Incidently, you did some good research there. |

Hey, Larry! You been following me?? Thank you, good sir, for such a special piece. It is I who am very grateful for being here. Actually I had not written a poem for over eight years before coming to Passions and had no plans to write again. This site and the wonderful people here with their support and camraderie relit my poetic desire and for that I will always be grateful. My warmest thanks to everyone who has made my time here so enjoyable and I will forever be in their, and your, debt. Thank you again, Larry, and I'll write one for you on your 10,000th, too!
