He stares in wonder as a child,
At butterflies and midnight skies,
A man-boy not by life defiled,
Knows only truth, knows not of lies.
No hint of sin within his soul,
This creature meek, this creature fair,
From forth the heavens he was stole,
Soft glow of hope, amongst despair.
Is only peace, this man-boy knows,
With innocence of cherub's face,
He blesses me, and to me shows,
Love absolute, angelic grace.

Oh Tim! This is truly touching...

I always thought it ironic that some look on our "special people" with pity...they do seem to live in a world of wonder. Pity us, the jaded ones, eh?

Much applause, my friend!!!!

You've expressed the feeling many of us have Tim...glad you put it into words for the rest of us to see.  I agree with you totally.

Thank you for your kind replies.  My cousin turned fifty recently.  When he was born, my aunt and uncle were told he would never reach adulthood and that he should be institutionalized.  They refused to believe either.  Thankfully the last fifty years have taught us a lot about special people.

Tim, how touching this is. I know special people and they are truly " special" people, and the angelic face you speak of I can just see it. floria

Tim this is very special and so touching.  We are often blessed in ways that we all to often do not recognize.  Wonderful writing.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.
