“WHEN I WOKE”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
When I woke this morning,
all I felt like doing was
running away to somewhere,
so I did, and ended up at my
most favorite place…
It’s a location where I find
serenity and truth, with
snow capped mountains which
rise into the bluest of
skies, from the calmest
waters I have ever
seen, or known…
I found this place some time
ago, when my heart was
sad, and I always end up
there when I no longer
feel that I am worthy,
or can’t go on…
It’s a setting created by
the Lord, and He takes me
there to calm and cleanse
my soul, of the trials
and tribulations of my inner
being when it feels,
as if it can no longer face,
the coming day …
A place where peace flows into you
knowing He touched your soul
A place where the sky is so blue
and you again feel whole
A place that He has created
a scene the heart can rest
A place where cleansing's awaited
and you again feel blessed
*sigh* Bill.....you have no idea how you truly touched me with this poem. I have a place in the mountains where I go and sit beside a stream and just feel all the beauty around me......I cannot explain well but the sound of the water mixed with the majesty of the mountains fills me with a sense that isn't completely of myself...there is healing and serenity...*sigh* the only part I am missing is the ocean....someday I will move back to the west coast and write while surrounded by a scene such as you have created with these words. That is my dream. **big hugs** thank you, so very very much.
Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
Bill...know that you have a friend here
that is just that...HERE...always with a
listening ear...
This is a beautiful but sad poem....I hope
it does not reflect all of your feelings
at this moment...I hope that Passions does
help your days...I KNOW you have many friends
here...for I am one...
