I feel inside the tides, and pull of surge
to smell the salt as the breeze will merge
To walk the sands that stretch beyond
leading to the stillness of low tidal pond

Finding a boulder to rest in repose
absorbing the thoughts and the subtle flows
You are there, and then not as the feelings swirl
tossed and turned, flotsam of life in abandonment whirl

Closing the eyes, sparkles of light still dance
reflection of love that was given by your glance
A soft sigh escapes from deep within
wondering if the times will be given me again

For what is there, will never be gone
as long as the breeze brings forth its song
A haunting cry rides on that wind
to ever remind of the time that was when

The now or the then, or of what is to be
stretching beyond the simplicity of me
All I know is what I can feel
when the fingertips of breeze do reveal

There you go...stiring the fire and sending a message in the smoke on a memory's breeze...
Mark is always telling me to catch the breezes too...
had to smile at you for this one sweet keeper...
another poetic stick on the fire me thinks

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
Thats the way love is ... sky blue and black.

I love your poem, although it made me a little sad as Im doing so much wondering os thens and whens myself these days. If only I could write a response with words as beautiful, so you would know I mean it.  If your poem flowed any better, It would slide and run right out of my computer.

Go ahead, push your luck; find out how much love the world can hold

Logan--Your thoughts swirl into and around time...and always come back again to capture the moment still.  Love reading them in this poem.  Hugs!

This has such a peaceful feeling to it, An acceptance of things as they are, without losing memories. This is the way I would like to think.
Smiles..

...absorb thought as subtle flows...
upon the day when west wind blows
in the morn when song is high
in the eve, when rest is nigh...

absorb the love of one who came
for the wind carries ever her name...

You inspirational poet, you...
