I can see my father sitting home alone.
He just left a message on my mother's phone.
And I'm wondering here as I'm writing this poem...
Should I call him back?
And open up the inane wounds I myself have sewed.

HA! What a waste of time.
would be unexpected sound from a sympathetic caller.
If he could keenly suspect the chimes
to be hiding pity, would he still answer?

ugh.I wanna scream out my angry resolution
and smash my fists through the walls...
Piss off all the neighbors
Disrupt their sacred holiday song.

The chaos is writhing within me now...
Despite the fact he raised me with hatred and ignorance
My destruction comes from within not from without
.....and it's not his fault.

Could I trade him my issues for his penitence?
.....

Here I am sitting home alone
I don't think I'll bother to dial his phone
I'm stubborn, and I'm saddened and I'm ending this poem
Maybe next year
I'll tend to the inane wounds I have sewed and broke open....
On another unmarked holiday I'll care not to know

sounds like your parents aren't together any more huh? that's hard to reconcile, and if your closer to your Mom, your Dad's behaviour is sure to
irk you from time to time..I don't know how often..anyway I just understand that, my mom
remarried and I never really felt close to number 2. Never had to either, I was already grown. Nice write and cheer up
