A bachelor, who dreams about a family as special as this, is bringing you this memory. Enjoy my dream.

My child of sparkling eyes
Bouncing with such joy in life
It is Christmas Eve

All your fantasies are before your eyes
As you keep looking out the window
In the spirit of the season of love

Oh child how blessed you are
The warmth you have created in us
In the growing up you have done
A little child so small you once where
In that freshness you still abound
But with so much more energy
That you race around me in anticipation

Now that the sun has dimmed
The sleigh is riding the sky
We now sit before the fireplace of love
Sharing each other as a family
As the angels sing their chorus around us

You fight your sleep
But the drain of the day
Has put sand in those eyes
As we watch you enter your fantasy
We then gather you up
Into a bundle of joy
Along with your favorite buddy
You are put away to dream

The night is long
And the fireplace must dim
As the tree grows bigger
Into the delights that memories will last in
And as the tree gathers up its lists
We sit in the arms of a love so special
That the hues bless us into the inner warmth
Of holding each other ever so tenderly

Crash goes the night
For it is Christmas Day
The bed a jumping
What is this earthquake?
Wake up Mom and Dad
Wake up
Santa’s already has been here
Time is a wasting

So the paper goes flying
In piles so high
That they will never grow small
As the flash of emotions
Put a parents smile to work

And after all those special moments
Which come so fast
We stop to give thanks
For the reasons we are a family
In the prayers that reach the heavens
We remember the warmth we share
With the spirit that put it there

Merry Christmas we say
In a song as a family
Bless us for another year
As we add an item to our tree
A reminder of what this year had offered
Remembering the first Christmas together
Along with a shoe so small
That it held a dream
Who this year added something
In his ornament of the perfect love
