Inlets of sky fields talk me into trailing,
chasing the persistent structure of passion...
Fragments of cobalt’s icicles send me sailing,
drifting with their uninhibited fashion...

The spirit of the breeze stirs me with simplicity,
heading straight for the minimums of my desires...
Branding me with that satisfying electricity,
over the contrast, this fallen spirit ascends still higher...

The coasting moon through my space
leaves imprints of your hypnotizing gaze...
Rewards from my choice of this place
ignite in my soul an infinite blaze...

Help me to breathe, my supplier of clarity;
instill in me the finishing touch of diligence...
Between the sand and the sea, show me the similarity;
sway sleep into me, and I’ll finally realize such patience...

-kh 12/01

p.s.
Merry Christmas, everyone!!

It's always a treat and a pleasure to see your name and read your words, it doesn't happen enough.  My family is arguing about whether to open presents tonight or wait until tomorrow.  Sigh.....if they only read poetry they would know all of the answers right?   I enjoyed this!

Well sweetie ... what a treat it is to find a gift that deserves being opened a few dozen times. Your imagery is spectacular, the cadence superb, heck you even rhymed for me. I heard that ALMOST all of your lines matched.   To say that I was touched would be an understatement. From the day you came into Passions I have had the pleasure of reading your work, getting to know you, and then of course ... well you know!!!
Your poetry continues to grow in its depth and in its perception of what you hold inside of you. Is it no wonder you captured not only my heart but in the process you've managed to keep me intrigued. (whaaaaat)
Thank you for us and I love you.

Mark
