Lefties, you just gotta love em
have you ever seen a lefty write?
upside down or just for spite
mirror image
left is right

lefties, you just gotta love em
have you ever seen a lefty think?
impulses through their right brains sink
their left side brains are flying blind
lefties, always in their right mind

lefties, you just gotta love em
they always seem so very smart
but some of them are strange of heart
Jack The Ripper, George Bush, Marilyn Monroe
lefties all, from head to toe

lefties, you just gotta love em
it seems that all the men I've loved
are members of the lefty club
theres something special about a man
who wields a pen in his left hand

Very witty--
guess i am a bit different-- I use a fork in my left hand when i use a knife--and i play billiards mostly left handed--otherwise I am alright ( all right..heh)

Very cute!  I'm also a lefty, and I loved this one .  I've never written upside-down, either, but sometimes I wish I could so that I wouldn't get ink all over the side of my hand.  I'm going to have to print this one out and post it in my room and office.  I enjoyed this one lots.  Thanks, Lyra!

Lyra,
I'm a leftie sort of...does it count if you can write with both hands? Hey I'm left predominant.

Good poem, and here's a saying for you....It's one of my favourites.
If the right hand is controlled by the left side of the brain...only left handed people are in their right minds.

Gotta love me!

Lyra - Guilty as charged - A lefty who writes upside down.  For all you lefties who wish you could do that - lemme tell you, be careful what you wish for, as the ink dries slower than you may think.  I have many long sleeved dress shirts that have ink spots on the left cuff, and the heel of my left hand gets lots of smudges, too!

It's interesting that you pointed out the characteristic tendency of many lefties to be impulsive.  Guilty on that, too.  I guess a lot of us don't see very far down the road many times.

As for ambidextrous traits.... well, guilty as charged (I think) because I can type with either had - heh.  Did you know that ambidextrose means you can stir the sugar in your coffee with either hand?

Thanks for the poem - it gives me hope and has shown me, through the many responses you've already received, that I am not alone in the Forums.

Madame's guilt is absolved. Madame does not promote excessive sleeve lengths to interfere in the otherwise gentler tasks of handwriting. And her point is clear on brain impulses not impulsiveness kind sir, your accusations are but a fabrication of what is clearly written by her good left hand!
We used to get flames, have an imaginary one on me "FLAME" for a 'left' point of view in this world of right-wing fanatics and con artists and left extremists

Thanks for your replies Seymour, Peaches and JCP....
and remember....never to cross swords with a leftie.
You'll always end up with the short end of the stick.......and with a sword, that could be very dangerous. signature-->

Thanks Jamie,  I sometimes use my left hand to eat while I use the knife in my right hand also.....thats because the knife needs the dominant hand...and for some reason, I was taught to do that when I was growing up...its supposed to be more polite.....at least thats what my mother said.
I don't play billiards, but I bat a softball and crochet with my left hand even though I am a righty.
I think there are a lot of us with mixed handedness.

Martin, thanks for BOTH of your replies...and for coming to my defense about sleeve length.

Larry,  thanks for replying.....I have always thought lefties were special...thats why I married TWO of them....
not at the same time, of course!

Keth, JCP and LongJohn......
How exciting it must be to be able to write with both hands....
I used to have a math teacher who wrote on the blackboard with both hands......at the same time!
Can any of you do that?

I often thought of painting with my hand like Leonardo but he did the Mona Lisa, lol
that said I do give it a try now and then to wake up some neurons on the other side?

Noah, thanks for replying, I once read that its good to try out your less dominant hand once in a while.....it keeps your brain working on its left dominant side.
Not enough people do this....so, good for you!

Sea, Snowpants and Chelle....you must be special because you all have the gift of leftiness...
and lefties are always right...except when the righties are right.
thanks for reading and replying.
