One Last Poem 2001
'Twas the night before Christmas, and all 'cross the Net,
Were lurking the poets I was lucky I met.
The quatrains were written, the free verse was pars'd,
In hopes that one person would see their true hearts.

With joy in their rhyme and pain in their verse,
They quickly signed off, all poets dispersed.
While I, at my desk, recalled their kind posts
in forums we shared on faraway  hosts.

'Midst the tears that we cried were the smiles that we sent,
With the fears that we shared, and the help that we lent.
One last poem this year I still know I must pen:
Merry Christmas to all, 'til we all meet again.

Lovely poem, lovely thoughts. May YOU have all the blessings of the season. May the Miata take you only to the places you want to go, may you have peace and love and hope and time.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. What would our lives be like without it? I shudder to think about it. Your heart is as kind and giving as any I've ever known. I am personally blessed to call you friend. I love you. God bless you.

Best wishes for the holidays Ron. Thank you so much for this site, and allowing us all to over-run it!! In the short time I have been here, I have met some wonderful people and read their beautiful poetry. I can honestly say that my love of poetry has increased tenfold with your great pages. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in behind the scenes for us all. You make it seem so effortless, but I know that it is far from that. Best wishes for the new year.

You offer us a place where we can congregate in verse ...
A charming host, a friendly home … where poets can converse;
A habitat of harmony, where hearts and spirits climb,
Through every post, through each response, through every heartfelt line.

The ambiance that filters through these pages colored blue,
Reflects the rainbow of your heart, the many hues of you;
I wish for you, a myriad of merriment and cheer,
For all the joy you bring to us throughout each wondrous year.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Ron.

Best wishes and big hugs,
/Kit

You changed our life, our poetry, our wit
You changed it from the far place you sit
You created a home for the homeless poem
You created Eden's garden for many to roam
And I feel I've found a home sweet and true
Thanks dear Ron, for just being sweet you

When the Night Before Christmas begot Christmas Day,
Ron packed the Miata; 'twas red like a sleigh
With gifts overflowing all bungied on tight
He tied them all down though it took all his might...

His whole family was grateful to steal him away
From his Passionate post where he usually stays
Fawn fed him bread pudding and lots of fine foods
In hopes that he'd stay and enjoy festive moods

He kicked back for the day and received lots of stuff
Packed it all in the Miata when he'd had enough
With an imminent snowstorm he dared not contend
He then hurried on home - he had poets to tend...

Have a truly wonderful Christmas Day
Give everyone a hug for me
