Instincts are primitive and mine own are intense
They are fierce and extreme, sometimes a sixth sense

My past is the progeny that has left unhealed scars
Precluding …my instincts from going too far…

So the question remains, how does one know?
Listen to your instincts or simply let go?

Easy it seems, the answer to this:
It does not lie in love’s true kiss…

It does not lie in a heart which is chained
When everything you know has only been feigned

Have my natural born instincts simply lost their way?
I wake not for the future thus my past wins the day.

"I woke you up and I slit the throat of your confidence, and we laughed in the night and I felt alright..." (3EB)

(sigh) Oh Beth, I can feel such aching in these words, I hope you're feeling OK! (big hugggssssss) I feel that when we're young, we do not become the loving people we are born to be until at first we implore the pasta nd grow by learning of ourselves, where then we find the strength and wisdom to carry on and follow our dreams and trust our instincts! (sigh) This is soooooooo wonderfully thought-provoking, sweet friend, we all love you so very much! (kiss on cheek) We've all missed you so much, sweet Beth! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Beth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

My Darling Daughter: Mom's wisdom here...first this is beautifullly written, as all your poetry is! Wisdom....trusting yourself and your insticts comes slowly and it will grow in you...trust in yourself, my darling, for as i have always told you, you are one magnificent and lovely human being,, with a glorious heart of gold! All my love, Mom (self-doubt is a human failing and a lie...ignore it!!!)

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

instincts are always a good barometer, and a lady's way of intuiting something is too..

the first of your excellent couplets drew me into your mind...you ask a meaningful question, indeed, that only your inner-self can answer.

Hi Beth! Good to see you again. Very powerful thoughts here.  The past is an ever present reality for me, you stated that feeling well.

don't know if you are seeking an answer, but I would offer this.  Always go with your instincts, they never fail you, never.
Trust me on this one.

Peace.

You may be "lady lost" but at least you know yourself even through uncertainty...  Thats the impression I get from your poem...
