Tiny feathers dot the sky
as they flutter to the ground
to join it in a sweet embrace
The boughs above adorned in white
are bending ever so slightly

Night comes and the ground gleams,
donning its seasonal coat
Peace in its truest form is reached,
as the earth stands still
for a few faint moments,
or so it seems

Dave,

what wonderful visual imagery you've got here
like on a crisp clear wintery night!

Some really beautiful imagery, Dave and so very well composed.  I love the barely noticeable rhyme scheme!
We actually had a bit of snow today, and a little bit of it actually stuck to the roads, making them a bit slippery...and our little pond has some ice on it which is covered with snow and looks quite pretty.
Almost as beautiful as your poem.

Thank you all for reading this.  We haven't had any snow this year here in NY.  Maybe in January, but it has been a pretty warm winter so far.
