I'd like to say to Christians near and far
I'd like to say to Jews and Muslims, too
It’s time for all to  seek an end to war.
And  recognize your different points of view.

To Catholics and Protestants I say
To all of those who murder in His name
It’s time to wash the seeds of hate away.
Your legacy is nothing more than shame.

To Maoists, Hindus, Shintos and the Tao’s
How many of the innocents must die?
The time to stop  hostilities is now.
War is an act no man can justify.

To all who claim theirs is a god of peace
It’s time for this insanity to cease.

AMEN! enough is enough. Only God knows when and if there will be world peace, but I hope it is sometime soon because too many innocent people are dying from all the rage.

'Deer dear heart I really love this poem it is UTTERLY utterly fabulous.
Yes I know I always say that but then you always write to utter perfection. I wouldn’t have to say it was absolutely perfect if you didn’t always write so well would I? No exactly

As for the words you've written here, I can only say
No One Can Say It Better

Truly this is Utterly Utterly the best, this is truly fabulous, I know you are a master of your art but this is outstandingly good. Normally your writing is wonderful this is even better than normal.

Absolutely Fantastic

I'm struck dumb with utter awe, you certainly know how to deliver a Christmas message 'Deer. Truly fabulous writing
Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy
And all I can offer is Amen

i'm smiling and giggling because Liz wrote "perfect" in her reply and so did i but i was typing mine when she posted hers and didn't see what she wrote until now which tells me this.... Perfection is something we all can see... perfectly!

'Deer, may all your Christmas wishes come true, for this is a wish that only a man who has been there, done that, could make...

Thank you for this...and Merry Christmas to you...

Balladeer,

A lovely message of peace. Wouldn't it be wonderful if everyone would open their eyes are realize peace is the better path to choose?

May you have a happy and safe holiday

"deer",
I like the way you think( scary ain't it? )
unfortunately , the rest of the world isn't quite so logical. Nice sonnet, nice thoughts, nice try. The world needs more poets.

*sigh* if only this poem could be sent around the world to all those who control this world like the chess pieces on a board. Even then they wouldn't get the message...too much power and control involved. **hugs** I love it.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

(tears fall down my cheeks) So sad but well-written, dearest friend, I too wish for all the world to embrace together with arms wide open and make harmony to the world. (wipes tears) We may be dreamers, but we are not the only ones, and if only we can all dream together, this dream can come true to all with just the littlest bit of hope! (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this powerful poem tugged at my heartstrings with its powerful message! We all love you so much, dearest friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Balladeer, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Ahhh yes, these thoughts and wishes have been uttered many times by many people. Let's hope that someday we'll all get your wish.

Very nice piece here that has a point. We all need to communicate in the belief of a total humanity that can bless each others thoughts in peace.

There can't be any greater affront to God than murder is His name. Very well expressed, Michael.

Thanks to you all! Yes, this is something we can all agree on for sure. Why can't politicians see as clearly as poets? We may never see it in our lifetimes but it will happen...some day. Bless you all!

I love to read sonnets, never wrote one myself though, must try it sometime.

Your words are so true, I'd like to think:
Let mothers and poets rule the world and a better place it would be.
But then: Maybe Not, I don't know.

HUGS, Titia
