Caught With Your Zipper Down
By Larry Chadwick

There you are looking me straightin the eye,
And I start to wonder if I forget to button my fly.
It’s time to be subtle, no quick move will do,
I can’t even look. Why oh why didn’t I button my fly?

So there I stand with a cool breeze blowing in,
This is the time to be suave and coyly defend.
I bend at the waste or strategically place an arm.
About now most anything will do just to make it end.

It’s never that easy, to grab your zipper and give it a pull.
They immediately think you’re a deviant and are in trouble.
You spin around but that doesn’t work, others are watching too,
Every where you look people are staring and you ARE in trouble.

Focus, that is the thing to do! Nothing seems to have fallen out,
So maybe it is better then what you imagined it would be.
Now it’s time to concentrate and finally close the corrals old gate.
You pirouette just so, with the left hand holding and the right to be
….Bag that, hunker down and just pull the zipper, turn, exit right on out of here without looking back…ever and then stand up and run…

cute poem Larry, the title tho, made me wince for you, I thought something was caught IN the zipper! And following that line of thought, I am giggling as I read your critique message: "Tenderness is not resented." rofl...

enjoyed the humor here, and sigh, as for the above madness, sometimes I just go off into my own little world!

Thanks for the smile, Happy Holidays!

serenity,
And you would think a lesson learned repeatedly could be avoided! I can hardly wait for old age! LOL And getting caught in it is a whole other painful story...ouch

Larry,
I'm glad you didn't get caught in the end.

ROTFLMAO!!!

I went to bed early but couldn't sleep,
got up to check out the Aurora,
then came to the board for a little peek.
And what to my wandering eyes should appear?
Not Santa's reindeer, that's for sure.
Now Aurora is playing second fiddle
to this midnight showtime riddle.
What was that thing in yonder sky?
OH MY! OH MY!
It's Larry's fly!

LOL, you thought I could just read this and laugh?

Hello Larry
The title certainly got me on this one and I must confess, my first thought was "dirty old man" but that was awful for me to think that!!lol  I loved the humour in this and it was a great start to my day. Take care....Sue

And shame on all you people!

Kethry,
Actually, that would have been first grade! Oh, pain and agony. The scars remain. LOL

Kacy,
Now why would I think you'd leave this one alone? LOL Had to bite my tongue there...

Juanita,
I didn't feel that breeze today. LOL

Sue,
Me...a dirty old man? Really!

Nancy,
Leave my little ditty out of this, ya' hear. LOL

strbbux,
LOL You're welcome.

Magnus,
Actually, those are old moves. I'm so old now I don't care. LOL

Tara,
If I said the pleasure was mine I'd probably get in trouble, huh?

RosePetal,
Hmmmmm! LOL

You know, Larry, this happens to me all the time, especially when I'm walking into a room full of people
