A Simple Love

I suppose that I made it
hard for her to love me.
There were some things
that I could have done
to make it easier on her.
But I was not the one
that had been prepared
to say yes to her need.
I was not ready to concur that
I would do anything to please.
For it was not my position to win
her love through good intentions.
I only wanted to share
a simple kind of love.
I was trying to figure
out if love is real.
Some day I will know if
she cares enough to share
this simple love I feel.

A tender write, James. And statement shows much wisdom:

"I was not ready to concur that
I would do anything to please.
For it was not my position to win
her love through good intentions."

Excellent phraseology, James. I believe that most of us can relate to this to one extent or another.

James this is soooo real!
AND there are many women who only ask for simple pleasures, a simple kind of love, as you so expertly expressed.
Very much enjoyed.

Well said James...Yes..sometimes we are just
looking for love without a lot of frills
that we are not ready to deal with...

I think love is simple but it is us humans who try to complicate it too much instead of just enjoying being with each other. **hugs** I hope she see the true value of love, soon.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
