Stirrer Of The Pot
~*Marge Tindal*~

Grandma said that every pot needs someone to stir
the ingredients put in, so it becomes the perfect blend
She said that it's important that we all take special care
of what we put together, that's going to be shared

I studied at her apron strings, from the time that I was three
to get the motion right that she patiently showed to me
A little of the spirit of tending the magic brew
she passed on to me so I could share with you

You take a fair-sized slice of that spice that we call love
Sprinkle it in heaping helpings right into the recipe
Add a dollop of sincere honesty that settles in the kettle
bubbling up in joy shared, when we show others we care

A tiny pinch of tears, just for the salt they contain
Gently stirred in the pot, so they aren't cried again
Keep the fires of friendship, slowly embering
Tossing in a precious dash of remembering

Gently begin the process of stirring with the hand of love
Noting just how it begins to feel with His blessings from above
Friendship soup for many to scoop within their souls
Feed the masses, for there's plenty that need a hand
filled with love in sharing all across the land

Thanks be to Grandmother for the gentle things she shared
mostly for teaching me to give a smile for another to wear
As this Holiday season approaches so quickly on us all
SHARE - SHARE - SHARE
the Friendship Soup with all~

*A special request of remember for Vicky~
Thank you dearest friend~

Grandma always knows best Marge.  Wonderful soup for us today.  *s*

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

Marge-
   Grandma was one smart cookie.
Thanks so much for this, sweet friend.
I needed one of your 'remember' poems.
You know how much I LOVE them.
   AND...I'm LOVING this one too.
Nobody 'stirs the pot' quite like you.
   Love you bunches,
   ~Vicky

Grandma's are sooooo special - I recall mine taking each and every grandchild for a vacation at her home for an entire week each summer - I love those memories of picking berries fresh out of the patch and putting them on my rice krispies... her cooking wasn't anything to write home about, though... and neither is my mother's... or mine, for that matter... ... but thanks for the grandma memories, my friend...
