If I was to shed a tear
would you wipe it away
If I ever needed guidance
would you care to show me the way

If I ever have the urge for candy
would you mind being my sweetheart
Will you bring me to reality when I
fancy and drift too far apart

If when ever I wanted
to embrace your lips
Do I have your consent
to give you my kiss

If you witness a fallen star would
you make a wish for the two of us
Could a knight in shining armor
ever court a princess of plush

Can I be trusted with your
heart of glass that's delicate
Do you think I'm worthy of your
vibrant beauty that's so eloquent

When I'm afraid can I trust
you to never leave me alone
Can I believe every word when
you write and read me a poem

Could you ever look so deep that
you see your reflection in my eyes
Could you weed out my pain
when it's hidden in disguise

Will you take my hand
and guide me when blind
Could you take me away from a
heart-ache and make me never mind

These are just some things
that I need to honestly know
before I give you the key
to my heart and my soul

You've captured many areas that we can gather reassurances from Isaiah ... wonderful pondering throughout this piece, very much enjoyed!  Welcome to Passions!

Isaiah,
questions that have deep answers. Your poetry is a quest and a good one.

This is lovely, someone gave me a key once.
It no longer fits the lock

I agree...don't give too much of your heart to quick...unless you are certain the feelings are mutual...James

You spelled out trusting in your plea for loving.  I hope the key is handed over to you, and that it unlocks the door to the happiness you seek.

Nice poem.
