To dwell in romance,
to dwell I say
In love and affection
for now and always

Away from my mistakes
and closer to a second chance
To make right the wrong
and dwell in romance

Give me a sense of joy,
a piece of passion
Nevermind... I guess that's
too much to be asking

I'll just remain in fantasy away
from the ball where lovers dance-
Romantics in enchantment
dwelling in romance

That's not my place,
though I wish it was
A hopless romantic disenchanted
far from the likes of love

But there's no crime to fancy
in my own mind of things so plush
How could I be a threat to
something I can't touch

All I want is to attend the
ball where romantics romance
Instead, I'm underneath the pale
moonlight where the hopless dance

I'll never dwell in romance

-Isaiah

I think we all get our chance...and then some more...not always exactly when we want it or how we would envision it....James

Welcome to the passionate blue pages, Isaiah. I hope you will feel comfortable here, where love poetry abounds. The poem you wrote expresses sadness and lonliness quite well.

"All I want is to attend the
ball where romantics romance
Instead, I'm underneath the pale
moonlight where the hopless dance

I'll never dwell in romance"

This is where the "Ball of Romance" is held nightly. Stay and dwell a while.

WOW!!!Can I ever understand this poem. I try to stay away from romance even though I am a romantic and love to write it. I find it is too painful to get too close to so I too dance, alone, under the moonlight. **hugs**great writing.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.
