Package Without a Bow
By Larry Chadwick

Tonight I reflect on our Christmases past,
And all those memories shared with you.
With the exception perhaps of just one,
They are thoughts of how love comes true.

So we sit in front of our lit fireplace now,
As the flames reflect in the star on the tree.
Snuggled together as the gifts that are wrapped,
Enjoying our time created for you and for me.

I can’t help but acknowledge the gift that I have,
It should have been obvious to me before.
Perhaps minus the bow and nothing else,
You are the package that I forever adore.

Well this is just precious....I hope you give it to "her" in an Xmas card.
A sweet sincere write of rhymes Larry.
Happy Holidays to you and yours

You're the hidden cost and the thing that's lost in everything I do.
Thats the way love is ... sky blue and black.

Ahh, this is so sweet Larry. You certainly are a big romantic aren't you? You should write this verse in a Christmas card for her. I'm betting she'd treasure it forever.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Larry,
what a joy to be so wrapped up in love and not have it parceled out in small doses. Good poem,
Keth

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Okay...I get five graphics so some of you will have to share...

Janet Marie,
That is an excellent idea!

Kacy,
What a lovely wish.

Tracey,
Now all I have to do is get the paper stickers and stamps...the poem was easier. LOL

Thanks Keth, Merry Christmas to you.

Lady in White,
You are so right! Thanks.

Noah,
You have the holiday spirit down good, young man! LOL

Juanita,
Don't cry...it's Christmas.

Nancy Lee,
Actually, I have had one of my poems illustrated professionally and now getting it matted and framed. Hope she likes it...
