I’ll Be
By: Noah Eaton
3/3/01

I’ll be the one who steps into your life
To kiss your tears away,
to light a heart jaded in sorrow
To hold you close, and let you share your pain
as I heal your wounds
And hold your hand
as we lean our heads on each other’s shoulder,
giving you purity’s light

I’ll be the one to talk over everything with you,
share thoughts,
and never make you feel lonely again
Giving you everything only I can give you,
Make sure you could be the happiest lover you could be
Lay close beside you with my hand over your shoulder
when you’re feeling dispirited
Massaging your hair,
touching you gently,
reminding you that you are never alone
And I love you with all my life, and this love will never end

I’ll be the nightlight in your soul on every dark day,
the one who tucks you in at night and keeps you safe
Lathering you with the dusty starlight,
from which your tears establish
Bathing your mind with the succulent shampoo of sincerity
A conditioner of trust follows
All I ever want to be is the believer for you
And you the listener, and vice-versa
Every night when we fall asleep
I will rest my head beside yours,
As our warm moans and breathes light our hearts
As in the meantime, I would dream of you
Moonlight’s benign sheets attaching two bonded souls
You…and me…

I'll be the one to hold you
Shower your lips with kisses
And lay my head beside yours as we dream
On the same star sharing true loves wishes

I’ll be the one to love you
That is what I want to be…
I’ll be yours
And you will be mine…

Hi Noah, I'm new to this site but I wondered if your poetry would be as warm and lovely as your replies to others. You didn't disappoint. Lovely words for that special someone. Cheryl

I am amazed again and again at your incredible ability to express the good things we human's are capable of feeling.  Could you bottle some of that and market it?  Noah, you are the essence of what it means to be wonderful!!

Remarkable words which have flowed from your beautiful heart my friend!  Your love must feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have someone like yourself.  Nice writing yet again Noah, good job!

Whoever this girl may be she will be very lucky to have a guy like you.  You're a good and loving person, and it shows through what you write.  Great poem.

This is so lovely Noah. Some lucky girl will snap you up one day, and she'll never let go of such a romantic as you are. You do write remarkably well of love.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?
