Under a Rainbow

Darling, your dreams point the way of your heart
From the doorway of love you will surely depart
Into tempests of wind that will carry the dream
To unwanted places, down fast flowing stream

Please remember the roots of the strong solid tree
In a yard where your world was a child’s fantasy
It was here that your heart was already sincere
And your mind full of promises, honest and clear

You will not need diplomas to carry your load
Down the pathway you tread now, the yellow brick road
No wizards of wizardry reading your all
In the sheen of deception in life’s crystal ball

Stay under the rainbow, of purple and pink
The one that is here by this old kitchen sink
For here are the tenets by which you were bred
And the dreams are the ones that have tucked you in bed

Whatever your future, whatever your fate
Come back to the rainbow, it’s never to late
For the thing that you strive to achieve may be hard
But it’s dwells in a tree house in mother's back yard

_____________

From this doorway of love I one day did depart
It was here you defined the brick road to my goal
It was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart
For it was not my lips you kissed  -  but my soul

And I found when I came back to whisper good-bye
All the wisdom of wizards had come from your heart
For the grandest of dreams are where autumn leaves fly
Under arcs of a rainbow in my own back yard

Liz - you have a rainbow about you - over, under, around and through - you're golden, my dear friend... This is great..

Liz-
  Wow...this is wonderful!
You make this challenge look easy...and it isn't.
   Excellent, as always, my friend.
   Hugs,
