Showing Me Love

The first time I heard you laugh
I know that sound would forever
Be locked into my memory.
When I saw that wonderful smile
I knew I would see it in my dreams
Bring dreams of love and happiness
When I felt your hand’s gentle caress
I knew that I’d never feel that way again
Never feel so cherished and beautiful
For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart.
It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.
Your love has claimed my very essence
And showed me the joy of living once more
Putting my shattered and disbelieving heart
Back together piece by crumbled piece.
So gently, so amazingly tenderly.
Giving me more than I could ever dream of
Showing me the mystery and myth of eternal love.

*sigh* how magnificent you make it all feel. Your heart has been touched and it is so clear that it is with a deep love that you have been healed. Wonderful. I love it. **hugs**

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

Tara, this is stunning, my friend.

"For it was not into my ear you whispered
But into my heart"

I love that line and the truth it contains.  Nice work, very nice!

Karen - Thank you my friend for stopping in..

Michael - As much as I would LOVE to take credit for that line... *sighs* I can't lol. It is a line from a Judy Garland song. They are lovely lines though aren't they?

I'de like to thank you for your warm welcome into the forum.  This being the first poem I've ever read of yours I was impressed.  I wish my poem could have sounded somewhat more like yours.  Nice job.   .
