Whores are profiting in Babylon
as comets streak across the sky
The Jews have returned to Zion
and all the beasts are locked inside

The earth is shrouded in darkness
the moon drips blood upon her ground

A New World order is upon us
and they say the end is near
All the signs are out there
and there's nothing left to fear

Seven headed monster are arising
from the eternal sea of pain
Holy wars have erupted
between the righteous and the sane

John of Patmos is smiling
although his revelations were in vain

Man has turned against his brother
armies await on every shore
For the end or the beginning
or perhaps something even more

But there ain't no trumpet blowing
On this Judgment Day
There ain't no flags waving

And nothing much has changed

Sure nothing changed much
Everywhere in the world they keep on fighting their 'holy' wars.

There have always been men who have turned against brother, and there have always been men who have embraced their brother in love. The history of the world is one of War and bloodshed, but also of Love and Peace. You just have to focus on the latter, or should I say ladder, meaning the ladder of LOVE, PEACE, RESPECT, HARMONY, UNITY.  And the ladder I climb is not made with the rungs of any single spiritual or religious persuasion or belief, nor any single book of truths.

I wasn't going to, but I like this poem so much, that I will add my mere two bits--respectfully of course. smile...

I think the title distracts from the work, and the work is grand, I LIKE it, I like the thought-provoking implications of politic, but the title seems almost irreverent--perhaps that was irony I did not catch?

All in all, tho, glad I popped in!
