Sing me a song in a sonnet so sweet,
A tune that plays deep in the heart of me
Lyrics to reach so close that we will meet
And set us both so our spirits are free.

Draw me a hope on the open blue sky,
Where all the dreams will be easy to hold,
Let me look on the clouds drifting on by,
To the writing written so high and bold.

Dance on the stage of my old memories
Swirl me and twirl me around in your arms,
Let me get lost in your sweet fantasies,
Take me away and waltz me with your charms.

You are there, here with me please me and stay,
Don’t go taking my dreams walking away.

Bill

It's lovely, personally I'm not up for a challenge right now, but I love what you did with this one

Startime,
A delight to float you along, dreaming is what makes us romantics.

Noah,
You are always so generous with your praise, There are many others around here that write better than I, I just hope to pick up a little.  It your praise that keeps me striving.

Kay,
Just fourteen little lines, open your heart and out they flow.  I was glad for the challenge it’s accepting challenges that lets us grow.

Bill,

I came back for another read, well maybe fourteen lines?  I don't know, writing seems to be in my blood though.  I do love sonnets....love them!

Kay,
Look as often as you like, that this is rereadable is compliment indeed, I love sonnet because of the nature of them, short and sweet, beauty of form.

Zukene-chic,
Sometime it’s not what you say, but the look you give.

Martie, thanks

Enchantress,
It’s so nice when a feeling does that, I wish I could dance better, but with the right partner no one even notices me.

Son, I think Lady will be quite pleased with this effort....in fact, I know she will!  It's been marvelous to see so many poets take this on...

kinda like a snowball in December...
